Hydroseeding sprays seed and mulch onto bare ground in one pass from a truck-mounted machine. The green color is the mulch, so you can see exactly where it landed, and the mulch holds the seed and the soil in place while the grass comes in.
It is how we seed new homesites after the builder and the grading crew finish, bare yards after a septic or a drive goes in, steep banks too hard to sod, and patchy lawns that need a fresh start. We have seeded small patches of fescue and sprayed 20,000 square feet in a morning.
We usually spray fescue for yards and Bermuda for sunny open ground, and we will tell you what fits your site. On new construction we can seed the lot now and come back to top seed once the house is up.

How long until I see grass?
It depends on the seed, the season and the watering. Keep the ground damp and you will see new grass come up in the weeks after we spray.
Is hydroseeding cheaper than sod?
Usually, especially on large areas and slopes. We will price it for your site so you can compare.
